HELP us raise funds, awareness and hope
Fundraising does so much more than raise money. It raises hope for survivors of sexual abuse, so that they can heal the hurt. It raises awareness in our schools and communities to better protect our most vulnerable citizens. Above all, it raises the possibility that, one day, we can free our society from sexual abuse.
Fundraising really is a wonderful, sociable and fun way to make a difference, and there are lots of ways you can get involved…
Do Something HELPful
Small actions can make a big difference, so we’re challenging Aucklanders to Do Something HELPful, get sponsored and raise funds for HELP Auckland. Pledge to HELP your friends or whānau, your community, or the environment – and HELP to free more New Zealanders from sexual abuse.
HELP by creating your own fundraiser
Got an awesome fundraising idea? Setting up your own fundraising page makes it easier to get friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you so you can raise even more funds for HELP, without the hassle.
Create an event
Do you have an event in mind that will raise money and help support sexual abuse survivors? We may be able to support you – call our Fundraising & Communications Manager on 0800 623 1700 or email supporthelp@helpauckland.org.nz to discuss your event and how we can help you to make it even more effective.
Meet one of our amazing fundraisers
“It’s a genuine honour to help raise money and awareness for HELP Auckland. It’s a deeply personal issue that I grapple with daily and I want to do anything I can to help. Many of the closest and most impactful women in my life have experienced the tragedy of sexual violence, and I wish every day for good to outshine the bad. Fundraising and running the marathon is me trying to overcome my demons and conquer the pain and suffering I’ve had to deal with.
All I hope is that it can encourage a conversation of change with grounds to inspire true good. Word of mouth has been huge for sharing some of my story – it’s helped bring awareness and raise funds for survivors.”
