HELP us raise funds, awareness and hope

Fundraising does so much more than raise money. It raises hope for survivors of sexual abuse, so that they can heal the hurt. It raises awareness in our schools and communities to better protect our most vulnerable citizens. Above all, it raises the possibility that, one day, we can free our society from sexual abuse.

Fundraising really is a wonderful, sociable and fun way to make a difference, and there are lots of ways you can get involved…

“It’s a genuine honour to help raise money and awareness for HELP Auckland. It’s a deeply personal issue that I grapple with daily and I want to do anything I can to help. Many of the closest and most impactful women in my life have experienced the tragedy of sexual violence, and I wish every day for good to outshine the bad. Fundraising and running the marathon is me trying to overcome my demons and conquer the pain and suffering I’ve had to deal with.

All I hope is that it can encourage a conversation of change with grounds to inspire true good. Word of mouth has been huge for sharing some of my story – it’s helped bring awareness and raise funds for survivors.”

Small actions can make a big difference, so join the Do Something HELPful challenge, ask your friends, whānau or colleagues to sponsor you, and raise funds for HELP Auckland. It’s up to you what challenge you take on – you could help out at a school, go plastic-free for a month, collect rubbish on a local beach, or do a random act of HELPfulness every day for a month. It’s easy, just follow the steps and you will be prompted along the way. Any problems, please contact our Fundraising & Communications Manager to discuss on 0800 623 1700 or email

Your fundraising helps us in so many ways. Every year, we support thousands of survivors and their families through our crisis support, education, advocacy, and prevention services. In the past year alone, we’ve helped 3,058 survivors and families across our range of services; provided 145 crisis support sessions to survivors; provided 5,821 therapy sessions to help survivors heal; and our justice team provided 129 hours of face-to-face court support. With your help raising funds, we can do so much more!
