Conversations Count aims to put the spotlight on conversations young people are having around potentially harmful sexual behaviour.
An initiative from Auckland Sexual Abuse HELP, with the support of Tu Wahine, Conversations Count hopes to ignite discussions among young people, to define what is okay and what isn’t when it comes to their experiences around sex, friendships and relationships.
Conversations do count. Making yourself heard makes a difference, especially to someone who is in a vulnerable place, as they go through a confusing and difficult time.
If you’d like to speak to someone about the issues brought up in this campaign, please get in touch with Help, or find details of our services here. Otherwise The Harbour is a great source of information about harmful sexual behaviour. Pohutakawa and Te Puaruruhau provide specialist medical services for those affected sexual abuse or assault.
